Governor DeSantis has issued Executive Order 24-215 which amends 24-214 and places 51 counties in a state of emergency (below). 10.05.24 18:00 The storm progressed rapidly on 10.05.24 to "Fourteen" and then to "Milton." It is predicted to be a "major" hurricane at landfall Wednesday near Tampa/St. Petersburg. Litigants and litigators in that area should be making plans for their own protection and anyone with business in the OJCC offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, and perhaps others should be monitoring for developments.

10.05.24 08:00 - We are tracking Invest 92L this morning. The storm has potential implications for various OJCC district offices next week. Potentials on the west coast appear to include Ft. Myers to Tampa/St. Petersburg, with potentials for Orlando, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami. Stay tuned for updates. If this matures into a named storm, the probable is Milton.
