Mediation, Masks, and More

The OJCC announced Friday, July 24, 2020 that all state mediations will be telephonic through August 28, 2020. There is no need to ask permission to appear telephonically during this time.  The OJCC staff is all wearing masks whenever we are not at our desks. Please remember to wear yours if you visit any of our facilities.  No paper should be mailed or delivered to our OJCC offices. The rules require attorneys to use electronic filing. If paper must be sent, it is to be sent to our clerk's office in Tallahassee. The COVID-19 virus can live on surfaces, including paper. Please do not bring or send paper to our offices. 

Proof of Coverage Improvements

The Division of Workers' Compensation is excited to announce an updated Proof of Coverage search application to the  Search Our Data  portal on the Division’s website effective on July 8, 2020.  The changes to the Coverage section include: A new look and updated functionality for the Proof of Coverage application which will incorporate and combine the current Policy Search application into it The WC Policy Search application will be removed from the portal Automatically displays last 5 years of coverage data received at the Division and provides 10 years of coverage history based on the employer’s FEIN Provides for searches to be made on Employer Name, FEIN, Policy Number, Effective Date, Expiration Date and County Provides a downloadable list of data A new Exemption Search application will also be added to the Search Our Data portal on the Division’s website at the same time. Governor DeSantis makes Appointments and Reappointments

Governor Ron DeSantis Makes Five Judges of Compensation Claims Appointments On July 2, 2020, in News Releases , Recent Appointments , by Staff Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of John Moneyham to Panama City, Brian Anthony to Tampa, and Erik Grindal to Sarasota. He also reappointed Sylvia Medina-Shore to Miami and Jack Weiss to Fort Meyers. Moneyham, 58, of Panama City, Florida, has been the president of John P. Moneyham, P.A. since 1991. He previously served as an associate for McConnaughhay, Roland, Maida, Cherr & McCranie. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Florida State University. Moneyham fills the open judicial seat in the Panama City District.  Anthony, 55, of Tampa, Florida, has been an attorney for Anthony Law Office, P.A. since 2012.
